#GetItRight

Unknown
Feeling complicated.

What have I done?
I wish I could run,
Away from this ship going under

Just trying to help
Hurt everyone else
Now I feel the weight of the world is on my shoulders

What can you do when your good isn’t good enough,
And all that you touch tumbles down?

Because my best intentions
Keep making a mess of things,
I just wanna fix it somehow

But how many times will it take?
How many times will it take for me to get it right?

Before it becomes a distant fleeting memory...

Friendship?

Unknown

I used to be sensitive about "friendship" issues during high school.
I always call people my "classmates", my "schoolmates", or in Japanese, a "知り合い", because I was afraid that everything was just my wishful thinking.
I thought that, over these years I have learnt to treat people right and hold back my feelings before others considered myself their friend.

Well, I was so wrong.

In the second year of university, a friend whom I supported, gave so much advice to, and stayed by her side when others ditch her, she literally called me a stranger because I told her off for something stupid she had done.

In this third year of university, at the age going to be 21, I have made a huge mistake on this "friend" thing again.

When I thought someone as a friend, I screwed it up with a joke I never thought would bring offense to people.

In fact, I still couldn't understand why is it so offensive to them when the things they said to me before were 10 times more offensive.
When I thought someone as a friend, I realized that I wasn't required enough to join their birthday celebration.

Yesterday, I realized that I still am, the 16 year old girl, who knew nothing about "friendship". But I am glad, for I still have some friends whom cherish me back as I do.

Maybe finding friends is like finding the right shoes to fit.
I think I need to learn to let go when shoes won't fit. Despite really liking it, I have to learn to accept the truth.

But for this post, just let me act like a spoiled child.

DIY: CUSTOMIZE YOUR USB CABLE!! ♥

Unknown
Hi everyone! ❀

As you all know, I recently got a puppy and he is growing his teeth so he likes to bite anything around the room and I had my USB cable bitten by this little baby... Therefore, I got this idea to fix my cable as well as decorate it to become my OWN USB cable so it won't get mixed up with others' :D

The things you will need are:
 ❀ USB cables (of course)
 ❀ Double sized tapes
❀ Colorful strings you can find at the local deco store!!

You can apply this method to anything too!!! I also customized my tweezers, scissors, and makeup brushes~

I hope you enjoy this video and find it helpful!! (≧▽≦)
If so, please leave this video a thumbs up and share it with your friends!!
Make sure to leave comments so I could improve!! ;)

Michelle Phan ♥

Unknown
I grew up watching Michelle Phan's videos. I went to an all girls school for 11 years of my life (age 7~18), so I didn't care much on my looks back then. I mean, I started watching her videos in year 2007 (age 13), when puberty just hit, and that was how I developed and "new" me since then.

Growing up, I used to be called as the "ugly duckling" because my skin was dark and my mom always kept my hair super short. Everytime when I played Play House with my friends during elementary school, they would tell me to take the male role. (I cried once because I hate to be the guy every single time!!) I had also experienced the time when people always thought I was a boy.

This is me. (2006 - present)

Back then, I absolutely hated going out to parties because everyone would tell me I'm ugly. Maybe that was why I didn't like to smile and I would always pull a shitty face —which, I thought was so COOL back then— which in actuality, I only looked like someone owed me money. LOL!!! Because I had no self confidence, I enjoyed staying at home alone with my MP3 player, singing songs and recording it, and sit in front of the computer (with bad internet connection) and spend most of my time on Youtube.

One night, I stumbled upon a tutorial video about eyeliners —you guessed it, it was Michelle's "Eyeliner Tutorial" posted in Oct 25, 2007— and I was totally amazed by the "sorcery" of makeup!!

That was how I started to learn so much from this big sister Michelle Phan ♥ Thank you for all the inspiration!!

"Money Money Money..."

Unknown

I have always been the carefree type when it comes to "money". Because I couldn't really understand the need to be miserly on money issues... I mean, being frugal is a very good value, but sometimes there are people who are just being mercenary that it boggles my mind with "WHY~??"

Recently,  I was quite disappointed with a friend of mine because of the way he blames me for the raise of the bills of their apartment, just because I used to stay there at my boyfriend's during winter break. And this wasn't the first time. Once he literally blamed me for using up the gas for the water heater, when in fact I didn't even use it.

I felt like someone told me off behind my back, and I really hate when people accuse others without prove.

Why can;t everyone be innocent, understanding, caring and kind like puppies??
BTW, meet Sora!!! He's a baby Taiwanese breed~

Short cover of "Into the New world (Ballad ver.)"

Unknown
This is just a very short cover... I didn't have the time nor space to record the whole cover because I live in a dormitory (poor sound insulation). I tried not to sing too loudly but I do know there is still a lot of space for improvement.

I was touched by the ballad version of "Into the New World" from Soshi's BEST LIVE at TOKYO DOME because it brings back a lot of memories. (。♋ฺ‸♋ฺ。 )
Girls' Generation was how I got to my besties during high school, and I believe for a true fact, that even though things changed a lot, our friendship has only become even stronger.

Although Jessica will not be a part of SNSD anymore, but I still wish the best of her.

Finals...!!!!!!!

Unknown
Final photo with friends at our last "Mathematical Games" class.
(Spot the "beautiful witch" at the side? LOL!)
I couldn’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve updated my blog. I'm just swamped with homework and studying, so... Yaaaaaay finals are finally over~ I'm a free person now!! (Wait, I still have a small thesis to be done...)

I do have activities planned, I just haven't got the time for more paper work, let alone write a blog post. But I think "UPDATE THE BLOG MORE" would be included in my 2015 Resolution. XD

Looking back to the past

Unknown
I had always been trying my best
To impress the one who
Dislikes me or thinks less of me
Because I'll never ever
End up like the ones that are messed up

During the school days
I don't really know who is
Or who isn't my friend
Cause of the past

Looking back to the past
I realized what a fool I am,
And I learned to be myself
I think I somehow grew up a bit.

Be the change. ;)

Unknown
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.

Great inspiration from a great talk today by DFC Taiwan ♥

Mahatma Gandhi said, "Be the change you wish to see in this world."

Actually, the formula of life is quite simple.

We get up in the morning and go to bed at night. In between, We occupy ourselves as best as we can. We gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face.

So, let's be the change. The change for the better world. ♡^▽^♡

Japanese blog post: 「マズイ、 もう3年生だぜ!」 Oh my, I'm a Junior now!!!

Unknown

"I don't wanna grow up."

 この夏、私は3年生になりました
This summer, I became a Junior in university.

将来を大きく変える受験に向けて準備しなくてはいけない時期なのですから
Because this is a year when we have to get ready to face the obstacles in life,

3年生になってから、まわりの人たちはみんなだんだん傍から遠くになって感じてました
After I became a Junior, it felt like everyone around starts to get further and further from me

独りきりで学校で歩いて、初めてキャンパスがこんなに大きいと感じて、何度も泣きたくなりました
Walking alone in the campus, I've never felt how huge this campus is, I even wanted to cry...

3年生と言えば何かとお別れをしなくてはならないものも増えてきました
Being a Junior, the number of things I should say goodbye to, has indeed increased

いろいろなことにおいて悔いを残したくないから、
I didn't want to leave any regrets, so I want to

思い出をしっかりと守り、
Keep my memories,

3年生の生活をよいものにしたいです
And make my Junior life a good one.

初めてこの大学に踏むこと、まるで昨日のことなのに…
Actually, it felt like yesterday, when I first stepped into this school...

Rainbow!!!!

Unknown
Embrace the little happiness in life!! ❤

Did you spot that? It's a rainbow!!! Some simple happiness before school starts!!!! Teehee!!!!
If you take myth and folklore, and these things that speak in symbols, they can be interpreted in so many ways that although the actual image is clear enough, the interpretation is infinitely blurred, a sort of enormous rainbow of every possible colour you could imagine. Diana Wynne Jones

"Paper Dome" with new friend~

Unknown

Today, I brought my new friend Watanabe Kaede-chan, an exchange student from Tama University in Tokyo, to a tourist spot here in Puli, called the "Paper Dome"~
The inside of the Paper Dome

It is a temporary church building constructed using paper tubes as structural elements by Shigeru Ban, to serve as a temporary church for Takatori Catholic Church after the Great Hanshin Earthquake; and the building was sent to Taiwan, here, in Taomi village, which had suffered the 921 Earthquake in 1999.
We had our breakfast at "A-Bao"~
It's really a meaningful trip for me because this is quite the very first time I got a Japanese girl friend~ And she is such a nice girl for comforting me when I was sad because I thought this trip was kind of boring...

~Selfie~

The walkway to "Paper Dome"
We got ourselves postcards~

IKEA w/ sister!!!!

Unknown
Pretty amused when I see Seungri oppa's "Tower of Saviors" ad!!
So today, my sister and I decided to go to the nearest IKEA from home~ I have been to IKEA various times with my family back in Malaysia, but this is my first time visiting IKEA in Taiwan!!! It was a hot day as usual... I wonder why this summer got so hot this year!!!!
Our meal!!! Swedish meatballs!!!
In my opinion, IKEA has been like a "DREAM HOUSE" place to me. I enjoyed looking at the displays they built in the furniture sections whenever I go there, and I even built some of my favorite rooms via The Sims 3 too!! XD

Thinking back of my journey of learning Japanese, I actually spent a lot of time on it!! Like, when I was in junior high, my attention was all on learning this language... I think I was lucky to have best friends who share the same interest with me, on learning Japanese, too!!

But I have a (quite) funny story to share here:
When I was little, my mom used to have this colleague who works in the same place as my mom does, as the Chinese teacher in a kindergarten, apparently this colleague of hers came from the same country too, Taiwan!!! Both my mom and her, they have a daughter at the same age, which was myself and (let's call her) "Y". "Y" and I, we were in different primary schools, but we ended up in the same secondary and high school...
I remember my mom used to compare my results at school FOREVER with this girl "Y" and I almost hated this girl because I thought all she knew was studying studying studying... Instead, although my results were not as high as hers, I made myself be better than her in many ways like learning Japanese, learning music, read more books to gain knowledge, etc...
By the time we reached the age to get ready for university, "Y" eventually dropped herself out of the foundation course in Taiwan we went together, went back to Malaysia for a short foundation course, and came back to Taiwan again for the foundation course... Instead, I got into a national school in Taiwan in year 2012. Recently, I heard that "Y" got into a medical course in a medical college in Taipei, in year 2014. Which means, well, she is a Freshmen when I am already a Junior.
Y'know, for all these time in my life, I tried to prove to my mom that even though I couldn't achieve really high results in my tests, I made myself worth it for learning multi-languages... For all these time in my life, I tried to win someone who, well, isn't that "smooth" in her higher education... Suddenly, I felt so empty and so satisfied at the same time. (Ironic!!!!)
I just want to say that, despite hating this girl for so many years, I think I need to thank her for making me who I am today. Always do your best. What you plant now, you will reap later.
Turn anger into motivation.

Something to keep me motivated this summer break!!

Unknown
Good morning!!!
Most of us, I guess, we all have summer stresses. Summer can present many opportunities for fun, but summer stress is also extremely common and can take a significant and perhaps unexpected toll... Which, reminds me of Superwoman's video~ XD

But fortunately, I got these babies to keep me motivated this summer!!
Yes, you guessed right!!! Need to prepare for the coming JLPT N2 test this coming Sunday~!!!
The best selling novel "The Fault In Our Stars"!!!
It's kind of sad though, how the price of English novels tend to be more expensive here in Taiwan...
Anyways, wish me luck!!! XD

Good day ❤ Takoyaki!!!

Unknown
Summer has come!!!!!! Blue skies and white clouds, makes a great day start!!!!!!

OOTD!!!

I got the little white dress from my boyfriend's mom *^_^*

A lot of people say,
"Monday Blue"

But sometimes,
"Blue is the warmest color"

Looking at the blue sky, it calms my heart everytime.

Oh, and we made Takoyaki in Japanese class too!!!
Homemade Takoyaki, is the most delicious!!! XD
"Oishii~"

Actually, I didn't know what else to write today though...
*Massive brain fart*
So, I might as well end this post with a quote I saw today ^^

H.A.P.P.Y

Unknown
Wore a Yukata for school activity this week :D

Heyaaaa~~ International Culture and Education Week of my department just ended today~!!!! Which means I have some little time for rest now :3 I always develop new thoughts every day every time especially during the times when I work which other people because it's a journey of learning, right?

I consider myself as a very easy going person. I can be down in dumps by just some mere things, but I could as well be over the moon by just very simple things and simple little pleasures. I won't mind doing a lot of work if someone does appreciate it, I feel satisfaction by just greetings like "You mush be tired (お疲れ様Otsukaresama; or 辛苦了Xin Ku Le). Even a gratitude of concern can make my day. I won't get angry THAT easily too and I rarely sweat the small stuffs because that's obviously meaningless, especially to those obnoxious people out there... yeah.

Many things, if you look at it at the bright side, it is a gift from God; but if you choose to look at it in a gloomy way then... It only makes like miserable, doesn't it? Sometimes it's just one side of a coin, it is our own choice to flip it or not. Why not make yourself happier when YOU CAN DO IT? Maybe, sometimes life is just about "WHY NOT?", yes?

"You need to be happy at least for a HAPPY ENDING
I’m not being sarcastic but I want you to know this is the truth"

Yes, many people are mean in this world, but this is what makes true friendship so precious.❤️

A compilation of thoughts...

Unknown
I ❤️ my handwriting.
How sad I could only write in English ONLY in English class now because almost every class here in Taiwan uses Chinese.... But it's okay~ Maybe I should sometimes do some creative essays soon too? :)

-----

Since I came to Taiwan, there has been a few friends who told me "Your eyes are DANGEROUS. You tend to see those hidden secrets but just looking at everything around you". Even my boyfriend describes me as "The brain of girls (good in arts, literature and culinary) but the mind of boys"...

But sometimes, it doesn't matter if one actually KNOWS those secrets, lies or even back-stabbings behind there. HOW ONE SEES IT, is all that matters.

My answer to that:
"Actually, it ain't THAT dangerous at all. I just like to observe things around me, that's all" ;)

If something is wrong, it is wrong even though everyone is doing it. If something is right, its right even though you're the only one doing it.

It is really ironic, and sarcastic sometimes, you see... That most of the time, the nicest people I've ever met were covered in tattoos and piercings. Whilst the most judgemental people I've met are the ones who claim themselves "noble", "faithful" especially "religious".

-----
Something which touches my heart in "FROZEN":

Anna: Elsa, please, I can't live like this anymore...
Elsa: Then LEAVE.

Life is like that, whether you like it or not... It is certainly one's responsibility on what he/she does and to face any circumstances after that. There is nothing for one to blame others because of his/her own fault...

Sometimes I could not understand why people finds it offensive when others were kind enough to tell you about your flaws. Some people tend to associate "Be yourself" as "Do as you please" and just never try to think about everything they do, instead they regard his/herself head and shoulders above others. (I do feel sick about these people, seriously...) Yes, it IS, indeed, very difficult to be ourselves when our peers are not on the same page as others but let's be true, as long ask we are keeping up with our principles and hold on to what we believe in, BE A NICE PERSON ANYWAY. But when someone doesn't want to change for the good, then...

"You can't live in this world anymore? Then just effing LEAVE."

-----

Sometimes I just get too self conscious...... Which brings me to a thought: "Appearance changes easily, but the HEART does not"...

This is a bad cycle for me:  I feel self conscious. → I watch inspirational videos → I tell myself YES, I AM GREAT TO BE ME!!! → I look at other people. → And then I feel self conscious AGAIN.

I really love Superwoman because she just speaks out our hearts.❤️ I am still learning to have confidence in myself. :)

Good luck, Champagne.

Thought of the day:
Sometimes, people just tried TOO HARD
